Since you taught in Korea (which is still one of the better stories I've read on here) can you elaborate a bit on how you did so? I am finding myself stagnating a bit here in college and feel like taking some time off and traveling. If I can find a way to make money while in another country that could also work. You rule Morgy. Stay dope.
Plain and simple, I did it illegally. I was 18 at the time and as luck would have it, the friends I had made while my brief trip to South Korea alerted me of a job opening in the area. Basically I took over the contract of a teacher so they could get married and live happily ever after. I also picked up a lot of side work like private tutoring and teaching english at high tech companies. In short, my time there made me grow up in a different way that opened me up to the world and guided me on a cool path in life.
Do I suggest to anyone to do what I did? Not at all, but to each his own. But if you have the opportunity to travel, take it. I’ve met many people traveling the world that are pretty much broke but are wealthy with so many amazing experiences.
I’ll have the latter.
